Thanks to this page (and this one), loc.dcr now has a totally retro-looking spiffy comment box. Comments are active on new entries for the time being. Comments remain disabled for the old loc.
Oh, and everything is templated. RSS feed, comment preview and confirm, pages, etc. The only real "quirk" to the new setup is that category pages look goofball without a category description. I could probably sort that with an mt:if, but I'd have to care enough to dig into it, and I don't.
Old loc entries will continue to list in the RSS feed and on the front page until we've created 20 new entries. At our current rate, old should stop being near the new in late August.

loc.dcr has finally been relocated from gridlock to elsewhere. The old blog has been imported into the domain CMS and I just spent the last four hours editing seven years of IRC logs to display properly. I was also managing a mostly automated batch action on another machine, so the tedium was spread out. I was multitasking.
It's going to be at least a few days before I'll have time to bust out proper templating, and Skyrim is about to give xeno's scrotum a good yank.
So until either of us have the time or care to give a shit, loc.dcr is rolling with the MT4 default templates in an accessible-but-unlisted directory.
And there was much rejoicing.
